Children's Day is celebrated on the 5th of May. It is one of the Japanese national holidays. This day is known under a different name: Tango-no-Sekku, and used to be known as Boy's Day.
We display Gogatsuningyo/May doll, worrier dolls or Japanese armor and helmet, whishing for boys to grow strong and wise.

Our armor and helmet which my grandfather ordered, are from Shimazu Kyoto, a local traditional doll company founded about 200 years ago.

Please enjoy it at our Gallery.
